Apple is reportedly planning to release a new, more affordable version of its Vision Pro headset. This step is expected to follow the release of the second generation of Vision Pro in 2026, along with potential launches of Ray-Ban-style smart glasses similar to those by Meta and AirPods equipped with cameras by 2027.

According to a recent Bloomberg report, the new Vision Pro model could debut as early as next year with an estimated price of around $2,000. While this price point isn’t low, it’s significantly less than the current Vision Pro, which starts at $3,500.

To achieve this reduction, Apple plans to use less expensive materials and a lower-powered processor than in the first version. Additionally, it will likely omit the EyeSight feature, which displays the user’s eyes on the exterior of the device.

Apple introduced the Vision Pro, its mixed-reality headset, in mid-2023 and began rolling it out in the United States earlier this year, followed by markets like the UK, China, and several other European and Asian countries.

Despite not yet causing a major shift in the market, Apple remains committed to developing wearable devices that blend the digital and real worlds. Bloomberg also reports that Apple has plans to expand into the smart home market, with a focus on this segment in the coming years.
