Millions of Android users around the world experienced a sudden outage in the core Google app, causing repeated crashes whenever they attempted to use the search function.

Users reported receiving an error message stating, Google app has stopped working, which prevented them from accessing the search engine on their smartphones since last Saturday.

This issue affected various Android devices, including Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy, and others running different versions of the Android operating system.

Google officially acknowledged the service disruption, confirming that a significant number of users were impacted. The company stated that it is working diligently to identify the cause of the problem and resolve it as quickly as possible.

While Google has yet to reveal the exact cause of the malfunction, users have faced several issues, including the app crashing repeatedly. When attempting to open the app, it immediately returns the user to the home screen.

Users also noticed that voice search and Google Discover features integrated into some devices were not functioning properly. However, other services like Google Assistant, Google Lens, and search through the Chrome browser were not affected by the outage.

The disruption caused significant inconvenience for users who heavily rely on the app in their daily lives. Until a permanent solution is found, users are advised to use the Chrome browser as a temporary workaround for internet searches.

In a recent update, Google added new information to the dedicated support page for the issue on its official website, stating that the problem had been resolved. The company also advised users still experiencing difficulties to clear the Google app data through the settings app.
